D，especially when focused没有主语，如果是时间状语从句的话，那主语就变成了The current economic downturn 。则逻辑意思不正确。应该是business journals 和general consumer magazines focus才对

B，those指代business journals 和general consumer magazines，focusing是分词做定语修饰those，因为前面是逗号，不用－ed形式，用－ing形式表主动

那为什么不可以认为这里those指代不清呢？

代词指代重复出现的名次可以用that 和 those， that指代单数名次，those指代复数名次，在这里those指代business journals 和general consumer magazines

另外，没有生命的所有格不能用’s 所以在这一点上D也是不对的。

根据题目意思，原句强调The current economic downturn 对 advertising income 到迄今为止造成的影响，用的现在完成时强调结果，C，D，E，把时态换成了过去时，变为强调动作本身，改变了原句的意思，是另一个错误。

无生命不能加apostraphe, 此言谬矣！
随手翻开GMAT的句子处处都是有无生命事物所有格的：
Sunspots,vortices of gas associated with strong electromagnetic activity, are visible as dark spots on the surface of the Sun but have never been sighted on the Sun's poles or equator.

BD主要区别在含义：
B中的especially those...是magazine的同位语。
D中的especially if focused是做reduce动作的状语。显然不符合逻辑。。。
同时出现if，说明是条件句，D中的reduce用的也不对。应该用would reduce.
