GWD-8-Q23 :

A New York City ordinance of 1897 regulated the use of bicycles, mandated a maximum speed of eight miles an hour, required of cyclists to keep feet on pedals and hands on handlebars at all times, and it granted pedestrians right-of-way.

  1. regulated the use of bicycles, mandated a maximum speed of eight miles an hour, required of cyclists to keep feet on pedals and hands on handlebars at all times, and it granted

  2. regulated the use of bicycles, mandated a maximum speed of eight miles an hour, required cyclists to keep feet on pedals and hands on handlebars at all times, granting

  3. regulating the use of bicycles mandated a maximum speed of eight miles an hour, required cyclists that they keep feet on pedals and hands on handlebars at all times, and it granted

  4. regulating the use of bicycles, mandating a maximum speed of eight miles an hour, requiring of cyclists that they keep feet on pedals and hands on handlebars at all times, and granted

  5. regulating the use of bicycles mandated a maximum speed of eight miles an hour, required cyclists to keep feet on pedals and hands on handlebars at all times, and granted

A do, do,and do的结构没有问题吗?

不是一般比较好的结构是A do and do;或者 A do,and A do吗?

my two cents:    here is a correct sentence.

A New York City ordinance of 1897 regulating the use of bicycles mandated a maximum speed of eight miles an hour, required cyclists to keep feet on pedals and hands on handlebars at all times, and granted pedestrians right-of-way.

The structure of the sentence is :  ordinance mandated ..., required ..., and granted...= Subject  Verb1, Verb2, and Verb3.

Dressed as a man and using the name Robert Shurtleff, Deborah Sampson, the first woman to draw a soldier’s pension, joined the Continental Army in 1782 at the age of 22, was injured three times, and was discharged in 1783 because she had become too ill to serve.

  1. 22, was injured three times, and was discharged in 1783 because she had become

  2. 22, was injured three times, while being discharged in 1783 because she had become

  3. 22, and was injured three times, and discharged in 1783, being

  4. 22, injured three times, and was discharged in 1783 because she was

  5. 22, having been injured three times and discharged in 1783, being

这里的结构就是 subject,joined,was injured,and was discharged

也就是我上面提到的A do and do;或者 A do,and A do是否是最正确的结构呢?

1. A do1 and do2, of course, is correct.

2. A do1, and A do2  is acceptable and not wrong.   that is just two sentences with "and"

3.  The structure of A do1 and do2  is better than that of A do1, and A do2

When V1 and V2 是句子胃语,   S V1, V2  is incorrect, but  S V1 and V2  is correct

S V1, V2  is incorrect?

S VI AND V2 AND V3,

或者 S VI,AND S V2,AND S V3

句子A,and 句子B 正确

n1,n2,AND n3 正确

这里其实省略了and (X) V2得到and V2

就会出现前面有人说的:A V1 ...,AND A V2...

但如果宾语不同,则A V1 sth1,AND A V2 sth2是可以接受的

A do x, and do y 是错的。

  3. regulating the use of bicycles mandated a maximum speed of eight miles an hour, required cyclists that they keep feet on pedals and hands on handlebars at all times, and it granted

  4. regulating the use of bicycles, mandating a maximum speed of eight miles an hour, requiring of cyclists that they keep feet on pedals and hands on handlebars at all times, and granted

  5. regulating the use of bicycles mandated a maximum speed of eight miles an hour, required cyclists to keep feet on pedals and hands on handlebars at all times, and granted

b和a同。

个人觉得这个题require也是考点之一~A里面mandated a maximum speed of eight miles an hour, required of cyclists to keep feet on pedals and hands on handlebars at all times, ···N required of sb/sth to do 结构里require是做过去分词,明显和前面的mandate不平行,C里面required cyclists that 也是错误结构,require (of sb) that是唯一正确的后面能加that 的结构~个人觉得require是个很纠结的词语···
