这题还不是很明白．我选了Ｂ．

ＮＮ们都说Ａ对．我想问，Ａ感觉不清楚呀．than under it．谁under? babies ?women?　感觉Ａ省略的太多了．不清楚．

而Ｂ就比较清楚咯．　省略了babies．

大家讨论讨论啊。

it = thirty

B would make it than babies were born under thirty, doesn't make sense.

呵呵，我做题的过程就是找错，剩下就对，尤其是针对难题。

当然有可能会做错，但是总体上个人实践证明还是比较有效。

According to public health officials, in 1998 Massachusetts became the first state in which more babies were born to women over the age of thirty than under it.

1. than           og  记得有，and at lower cost ,一样的全省略吧
   
2. than born        语法书上，有省略主语，有省略谓语/宾语等，就是没见过省略他们的其中一部分，留 一部分的，如果born做分词做定语吧，修饰的也是babies rather than women，不对吧
   
3. than they were    代词歧义
   
4. than there had been 时态不对
   
5. than had been born   时态不对
