标题: 偶的計劃
偶現在在美﹐工作三年。
烤過T﹐GRE。
打算開始復習GMAT。
今年八月或十月考試。or whenever is well-prepared.
TEST了一下PP3﹐630。V31﹐Q41。
數學主要是比較粗心﹐沒有注意詞義。做的很快。
VERBAL閱讀錯了三個﹐改錯和邏輯一塌糊涂。一點沒有概念。
Target:>700.
Question﹕
1。Need I prepare for the words?
2.How can I start?
Need I start from OG?
or 新東方光盤﹖or NEED I get some books from 國內﹖
or 真題﹖or LSAT?
3。I see some books from BARRON,doesn that help?
and books from princeton view?
How can I make a basic plan?I can spend 3 hours a day or more on studying.
偶英語基礎還可以。
但是當年考G只花了一個月多準備﹐雖然過了基本錄取線﹐
但希望GMAT 能好一點﹐有助申請fulltme or part-time好點點加州學校。
多謝各位相助﹐望我們能一起好好努力﹐攻破GMAT和MBA大門﹗

既然这位MM阅读挺好的, 那复习起来可就好多了.
同意LANLAN的意见不用看单词了, 逻辑也从陈向东的书开始,
语法毫不疑问是OG的最好, 不过要注意总结.
建议把OG的数学也做一遍好了.
闲时可以看看businessweek,time week, 之类的东西.

一个小牛啊！个人愚见，象你这样的情况，看全套新东方的书(语法，逻辑，阅读，数学)，再加上OG就行了。不过我也要提醒你一下，好的成绩都是通过努力得来的，不管你的水平有多高。我看到过太多象你这样厉害的选手，以为可以轻松高定，最后都只有670-680。对你来说，最大的挑战是定一个详细的计划，然后每天认认真真去做。

所以偶准备宁缺勿滥，不准备好，不稳定，不报名？
偶需要从国内弄些书？哪些书是必须或最好有呢？偶可以托家人一次寄过来。
XDF的GMAT CD = SOME BOOKs 吗？
这里看来office guide 有第9版和第十版，不知道有多大区别，要不要全看。
你们的是不是最新的第十版？
昨天偶作了office guide 第9版一套数学，38，错了一个，还是看花了答案。
看来细心最重要，还有部分概率和统计可能会麻烦一点，对我，需要注意。
percentage and discount昨天遇到，注意了一点，作PP3时这个就错过。
有时可能题意比较转一点。要看清楚是转着弯来问的。
今天打算作OG verbal部分先感觉一下。

1) Don't trust math part in OG. The real test is much tougher
2) XDF's book includes RC, CR, SC and Math, and the CD.
3) OG 10th edition should be better.

I plan to do the 9th and 10th both of them.
and I will ask people to buy the XFD books.
I will start OG verbal (9th first then 10th? don't know if some duplicate)
right now while waiting for books,
and after the first round of OG,do some sLat for some feelings.

First round target->680.Time, Now-June. 2 month.
Then use Lsat,kaplan,princeton view,etc to get higher.
kaplan high score and kaplan CAT is two diffrent books,right?
Need to make a better plan,hehe.

I agree with chipmunk bro.
considering your statue now, I can promise that you could get a score of 650+within 2 weeks.
But to achieve a score of 700+, you should work much harder. Gmat is somewhat a phycical competition.

yeah,I am trying to go into a good schedule and plan.
Yesterday I works late, but "Still" do 20 OG 逻辑
I got 20/20.hehe,today will do a section of math and 20 逻辑
and 20 语法，se see how it is going.
I know I need to work harder, but work and study ......
sometimes have deadlines in work and I am trying to get into the status.

My weakness is 逻辑 and 语法。
I know 机考有其不确定性，要想能稳稳的考多少分不是容易的。

作了语法20道，错了8道。这个语法很差啊，不知道以前怎么考的。
时间是足够的，一边作题一边总结，大约2分/题。
总结就是抄知识点。觉得考什么是知道的。
不过答案都选错了。
问题是读起来觉得对的被我左分析右分析，
就觉得不对了。
还有有的模棱两可，觉得都像。痛苦阿。

Generally for CR and SC
for Question 1-10,I can get 8-9 out 10.
for next 10 questions,I can get only 6 or less.
If I only did 10 question at one time, possibly I can get 8-10.
If I keep going after finishing 10 questions,I feel tired and anxious to quit and I can't think as well as I do at the beginning.
I don't know if other people have this problem?

偶的初步计划
1。4月。等待国内书邮来。感觉一下GMAT，找到自己的强弱点。总结更好的复习计划。
V：SR，CR -作完OG 9th edition SR and CR 一遍。注意总结考点。
RC -从现在开始阅读。可能目前以GRE阅读PP2为主。
Q：MATH尽量也作一遍。
LSAT：有空作一点，同时多收集一点LSAT材料。
现有ELAST 和几套旧题(98-2000 5套)。
还有一些是htm的，(5001-5024， 5031-5034，5041-5044，5051-5054。)
好像是一些练习题。基本一个FILE一个section.总共9套。不知有无重复。
GTER have more LSAT tests for DL?XDF‘'s 黄皮书？
5月。
SOme words.
V:
OG 10th EITION CR and SC.
LSAT.
继续总结，要能达到像大牛们做一题，知道考到那儿的程度。有个
自己总结的大概语法范围。并参考牛牛们的语法总结。
看XDF books.
看牛牛们的语法，逻辑的考古题，经验总结，问题解答。
六月。
基本like四，五月。
适当作机考模拟。
七八月。
计划再定？

Don't worry too much about this. Find a good model and start to practice a month before your test date is enough.

你們有沒有作了若干道題就不想做﹐想去轉轉或干點什麼
然后休息一下再做的？
连着作就会很烦，想QUIT，然后硬着头皮作，错误率就上升，
一次只做10道，错误率就很低拉，这是什么问题？

Need to read businessweek etc from now on.
Feel like CR for me is still reading problem,if I understand well, it is easy to select the right answer.
The logic is not sophiticated.
If the sentence is simple,I can get the answer after first reading,
if sophiticated, I need to read the question twice.
if more sophiticated, need to read,think ,campare for a while.

SC and math are my weakpoints.
Now it seems math 49 is my level.
Even for some question I met before and got the right answer,
I still get it wrong this time.
Time is more than enough, everytime I have 20 mins left.
Don't know how to increase the correct rate. Looks like there
will always be some problems for me somewhere, no matter how careful I am, I will
get the same numbers of errors.
Maybe I need to read the books from XDF and other materials.

I also want to apply UC for full time or part time, and I already scheduled the exam date on 7/12. What is your current plan?
My preparation is on the middle way, PP2 - 690, but my friend , who just took gmat in Canada, told me that math and CR is much harder than before. I think that the more JJ we read, the better we will be.

They bought 7 books for me while I ask for 5 or 6.They are not expensive,around 120.
but it cost ~$100 to send by fast delivery.They mailed to CA.SO the books are at CA now.I will go to CA in 2 weeks and get it.
I guess it is SunYuan's writing,and QianYongqiang's Math and Words and others.

jamiw, I am thinking about taking it at the end of July or at the beginning of August. But definitely after you do. I havn't spend enough time on GMAT so far, and I am not confident about my verbal part.
About the application, UC should be definitely in my list. Do you want to apply its MBA, or the one year Financial Engineering program? By the way, by UC you mean Berkeley, right? Anyway, let's keep in touch.
