请问为什么是B而不是C呢?

1. C缺少代词IT，什么避免被偷不清楚；
2. 将to avoid代入句子，其从句的结构是a recently discovered chalice, …, was probably buried to avoid being stolen by invaders
其中avoid的主语逻辑主语是chalice，意思荒谬。

That is the reason why it uses the " passive voice".

Let's compare 2 sentences to see which one is better:
1.a chalice was probably buried to keep from being stolen by invaders. (chalice to keep itself)
2.a chalice was probably buried to keep it from being stolen by invaders. (someone to keep it)
If you would like to show "a chalice to keep" in 2, you should use "itself" rather than "it".

还是: reasons like an expert ? 这样的话就不对了啊！这样比较不行吧！至少应该是：reasons as an expert dose 啊？？？？？？？？？？？？？？？

我觉得这里考的是逻辑主语的问题，例如turtle chen在上面所说，在第一句中，keep的逻辑主语依然是某某人，那么from being就变成了“防止这个人被偷”，逻辑意思自然不正确

我觉得was的主语不可能是人,要是人的话意思不通啊,不能说人被埋葬了是为了防止某物被偷吧..我觉得这个句子是说"考古学家发现了据今八个世纪的被入侵者埋藏起来以防被偷的酒杯".所以我觉得主语不是人

上面的MM，by invaders应该是修饰stolen的，防止invadors stole...；另to keep from的逻辑主语是人，所以sb keep sth from being stolen是正确的。

keep 在这里是保存的意思，是及物动词，这是个考点，必须加点东西出来。

这题挺好的，expert可以和computer并列。

第一题的C除了少了it之外，其实更因为keep from和avoid意思是有差别的，这两个实意动词不能互相替换。虽然都有避免的意思，但你可以感觉一下，keep from感觉被动一些而avoid比较主动的。至于第二题，do like sb/sth是固定搭配，其中do后面不可以有宾语～

computers reason as an expert does. 我觉得这个比较没问题吧可能是which的问题
