ever more是可以的。

关键的点在于：A选项错在表述成了是measurements使得科学家们认为。。。

而原文的意思是整个这个项目（或者这个探测器的这种靠近的事实状态）使得科学家认为。。。

所以，D在这一点上要忠于原文的意思。

A选项另外一个问题

them有指代measurements的可能性

跟C很难比出谁更好啊

GWD给的答案是C吧
