是D。为什么E不对？D我一看until their last scheduled day这么笨拙的修饰就觉得不如E的until the last day好，怎么居然E是错的？

又是in order to。in order to collect主语是谁？collect什么？

to collect 到底是根stay, 还是根are scheduled. 意思不一样哦.

根stay=员工要留到最后那天工作日(the last day that they are scheduled)才能拿补贴

根are scheduled=员工要留到拿补贴的最后那天(last day that they are scheduled to collect (severance packages))

D: require workers to stay until their last scheduled day in order to collect => 1) in order to 修饰to stay, 没歧义. 2) their last scheduled day 指workers的, 不是severance packages的, 没歧义

d的their last scheduled day是worker's last scheduled day = worker's last scheduled (work) day

that做什么成分？

如果作schedule的宾语，那their scheduled day>the day that they are scheduled

如果做状语，那应该是the last day on which(when) they are scheduled

有道理！that指代的day，必须在后面的从句中担当成分，这一点谢谢你提醒我了。也许看了太多的从句，反而对这一点忽略了。

今天做到GWD24－28,发现就是这题，再翻查CD上的讨论链接，发现讨论已久，楼上的可以看一下，答案不是关键的，我觉得争议的思路很好。
