。。。is a phenonmenon in which changes in the ocean and atmosphere combine to allow the warm water that has accumulated in the western Pacific to flow back to the east.

combine to 在这里是修饰什么的？哪位NN能分析下句子结构，谢谢

changes 主语，combine 谓语

变化纠缠在一起，导致能够允许。。。

语法上没有问题，但是说两个自然现象为了......而结合，感觉非常别扭。自然现象怎么会有意识地做什么呢？欧觉得这里用allowing表示现在分词作结果状语非常合适。但og11特别说明：A better choice would be to follow combine with a to allow, showing purpose.感觉郁闷.

那位给解释解释......

这是不是意味着分词在句末作结果壮语之前一定要加逗号？

BY给的解释里面，ABC 选项都是因为没有谓语所以错了，

看题干，a phenomenon 主语，in which ……atmosphere做定语从句修饰 a phenomenon ，combine 做谓语。

这样理解对么？为什么BY说没有谓语呢？

ABC三个选项是缺谓语的, 因为主句是El Niflo is a phenomenon.
combine 这个动词是定语从句in which changes in the ocean and atmosphere combine...中的谓语, 整个定从是修饰phenomenon的
