In June of 1989,
(A) one of only eight Revolutionary War battlefields that had remained undeveloped
(B) one of eight of the only Revolutionary War battlefields that have remained undeveloped
(C) one of the only eight undeveloped Revolutionary War battlefields that remains
(D) only one of eight Revolutionary War battlefields to remain undeveloped(A)
(E) only one of the eight remaining undeveloped Revolutionary War battlefields
請問only改變了位置是不是錯的可能很高? 因為有改變句意之嫌? 這題還能從什麼點切入做答? 時態嗎?? 整句翻譯怎麼翻呢?? 拜託nn們幫忙!!!!
不是nn,试着解释一下
首先only位置的改变的确改变了句意,原句中“仅有的八个”变成了“仅有的一个”,排除D,E
B的 “one of eight of”wordy,后面的 have remained 时态错,根据In June of 1989 可知,应该用过去完成时
C的“remains”,错在单复数和时态上。时态不赘述。“one of the only eight undeveloped Revolutionary War battlefields ”,only可知重心在of的后半部分,所以that从句中的谓语应该为复数。
just some words ( i am not a GMAT guy)
In reality, tense changing in a sentence is acceptable, especially when 'facts are facts'.
eg. he said that Beijing is the capital of China.
I am curious if this kinda stuff violates GMAT grammar.
thanks.
肯定不是牛,呵呵
看法未必成熟,大家一起讨论

当叙述的情况为真理时,从句的时态为一般现在时,比如你所举的例子,这个在GMAT中也是一样的。
但是就这道题而言,我倒不觉得从句中所述为真理啊,是在June of 1989 这个时间点的状态。
remain这个词,在我看来,本来就不能指示一个永恒真理。
其实我对这种问题的理解也很模糊,尤其涉及到一些法令规定什么的。大家来讨论。
