8. “For hundreds of years, the monetary system of most countries has been based on the exchange of metal coins and printed pieces of paper. However, because of recent developments in technology, the international community should consider replacing the entire system of coins and paper with a system of electronic accounts of credits and debits.”

Do we need a total different monetary system using electronical equipment, and abandon our outdated system based on the exchange of metal coins and printed pieces of paper? My answer is Absolutely! My reason is also simple, it's the demand for the development of our society.

Firstly, as our business keeps growing, we have to find some easier way to pay for the goods. Cash is not a good choise, since it's too dangerous to carry so much money. Some would argue how about check, which is more convenient than cash. But concerning those international business, which get involved with many different banks from different countries, check is not a good solution either. But if we using electrical currency, there is not any obstacle. Most of the troublesome works in the exchange would be the bank's responsibility, and the dealers need not care about those. And the security is also guaranteed by the banks and the related laws.

On the other hand, with the aid of electrical monetary system, the economists can get more accurate data and statistic and propose more suitable economic policy. Some investigation shows that the electrical monetary system can help control currency inflation or deflation. Although there are still some arguements about this view, it's sure that this system can give us a more considerable and controllable economic circumstance. Even it could not support suck kind of benefits, it could not do worse than the monetary system of coins and paper.

Another benefit of using electrical currency is its potential to eliminate crime activities. As mentioned before, because all the exchange is monitored by the central bank, those illegal activity could not hide from the scrutiny. It's easy to track any suspect exchange and thus eliminate those crime activities. By the way, those intension of tax evasion can never be realized. And this kind of system is also helpful to control the corruption of goverment officials.

In sum, I do strongly recommend the electrical monetary system. No doubt, it could not substitute for the current monetary system right now; and it need more testification. However, I trust it would not be a long time till the electrical monetary system come to our lives.

写的挺好的啊,能得很高的分吧,只是想请教一下,GMAT 作文的观点必须是一边倒的吗,能不能先把推崇的观点写完,再说说它的缺陷啊??

This is what I am thinking about:
1. it is no doubt to say using electronic system is convenient as using coins and papers cause some problems: heavy, danger, take exchange rate into consideration.
2. however, we should see some drawbacks if we do adopt electronic system. we should see the difference in countries using this system. in the U.S or in the UK, it is common for people to use debit or credit card to go shopping whereas it is not popular in China. the system is still not mature and needed to improve in the future~
3. we can replace coins and papers gradually as it is a trend, but it should be guaranteed under the assumption that all countries or most countries in the world have advanced technology in this area.
第一次~多多指教哦
