1。 has begun的现在完成时与 now 以及 when从句的过去时不一致，可谓时态混乱。
2。Despite引导的介词词组一般修饰的是简单的名词而不是复杂的名词性从句， could也应换成 can才与主句时态更一致。
3. correspondingly应该修饰的是 sales，而不是 unaccompanied
4。 during只能修饰持续性的动词，修饰 proclaim不可以
5。 A， D 的 threatening不对， threaten本身就是名词，不能再用动词； B中时态与后面的现在时不一致，as也没道理； C， being加 adj.在 GMAT中通常都错， GMAT认为 being多余。答案只能是 E。

同意hexin的观点！despite 后面不能跟句子，通常要改成although.并且could 的时态与indicate的不一致。

这里取决与unaccompanied的意思。它不是个动词加ed的形式，而是一个形容词，翻译为无伴奏的，所以后面不能跟by 的形式。
