In choice A, the plural pronoun their does not agree in number with the singular noun person. Choices C, D, and E can be faulted for failing to complete the construction One legacy ... is with a noun that matches the noun legacy; these choices use verb forms--the infinitive to realize or the present participle realizing--in place of a noun such as realization. Further, when in C and D is less precise than as in characterizing a prolonged and gradual process such as aging. B is the best answer.  請問為什麼as比when好?有人說說嗎?

呵呵，这2个词在用法上有细微的差别。
when：“当......什么（特定的）时候”，往往是指在时间上的一个点（如：I'm replying the questions in CD forum when you raise this question）、或者是一段很短的时间（如：I hope to go to United States when I was 20 years old）。
as：“随着......（时间）的流逝”，往往是指比较漫长的一段时间。对于这题来说，“变老”无疑是一个相对漫长的过程，用as people age最合适不过了－－“随着人们（慢慢）变老，他们所关心的东东也（慢慢）改变了，或者说转移了。”
