Let me introduce myself first.

Robin Zhang, Female, 27, now in Shanghai

4 + years working experience in a US company, in Logistics / supply chain mgt field

target school: HBS, Wharton, and Stanford

I just made the decision last week, and began to prepare from this week. So pretty much a beginner, and hope to learn from those forerunners

I plan to take GMAT in May, and TOEFL in August(I don't know about the specific date of examination, can anyone tell me?)

Prepare the package in Sep and early Oct and catch the first round.

How does it sound? Realistic?

Thank lord, there are are CDers similar to my situation. Hope can share sth. Me, MA Jie, male, almost 1yr work experience in the field of business dev'p and purchasing after postgraduate life in top electronic-related university. To top b-schools, have no sufficent confidence to apply for.

you hv run way way way way way ahead of me......

can u leave ur MSN.....I would appreciate if you can give some valuable tips to me in preparation of GMAT and TOEFL. Although I believe in my language skills, I still want to know the test more and get well prepared.

I don't want to do it second time, so better do it best the first time

By the way, which city are you staying now, BJ?

I am sure there is a TOEFL test on 5/13 in Shanghai, old TOEFL....anything after, i am not so sure.....

There are several test centers in Shanghai for TOEFL, just check it out and see which one you want to go....of course, get registered first.....

no free chance for a second test....

Just want to say I really appreciate all your replies...actually some hv become really good friends on line already...

I am good on my way of preparation... went through OG generally in holidays and found it not so difficult as expected... of course, still scheduled a tight study plan coz I know it's not an easy thing if you want to achieve the best...

I got a team of 4 fellow appllicants in Shanghai, sharing study plans and materials, and motivating each other often. More importantly, we get together each week to share gains on learning, and to discuss on questions we met during study...it's cool and great on this LONG, HARD, AND SOMETIMES LONELY way of acquiring knowledge we can hv some friends of the same interests and target...

Wish everyone a great DOG's Year...and Enjoy Everyday!!!

You really did a good job! But just a kind remind that the actual test would not be so easy as OG, and you can also regularly surf on the GMAT test sector on CD to win ETS! Good luck!

26 going 27 male. PhD graduation projected next summer. No WE at all.
(if no scholarship in 2007 for me then I'll go find a job first).
California resident. Toefl 657/5.5 (2001expired, hopefully they can
waive toefl since i have a degree in the states),GRE
V720/Q800/A700(2000 expired, analytical part was my heartbreaker--I
kicked the power off my pc when i was taking GRE....),uGPA 3.4(ustc),
gGPA 3.75 so far. Planning to catch up with first wave end of this
year. Work hard everybody!

hi, ibelieve7, where in CA are you at? Toefl could definitely be waived if you get a degree from an english-speaking country. A little bit about myself. California resident as well. 0.5w/e in a big IT company + 3 interns. In the US for 3 years, with a master degree from a top university. Hope to make friends with everybody. Wish everybody success!
