stock number of shares

v 68

w 112

x 56

y 94

z 45

The table shows the number of shares of each of the 5 stocks owned by Mr. Sami. If Mr Sami was to sell 20 shares of Stock X and buy 24 shares of stock y, what would be the increase in range of the number of shares of the 5 stocks owned by Mr Sami?

A 4 B 6 C9 D15 E 20

Answer: D

我认为是A， 24-20=4

range before transaction

112-45=67

rang after transaction

(94+24)-(56-20)=118-36=82

the difference is

82-67=15

*X=3X,当x是odd的时候， *X=X/2, 当x是even，然后问*9X*6=?

我选81，答案是27，哪位帮忙看看怎么回事

LZ是不是range的概念没想清楚，就是集合当中最大的元素与最小的元素之差呀，当然是112-45呀。

it's not a bug, the answers were given as *81, *27, ... , instead of 81, 27, ..., so when the result of *9 x *6 is 81, and 81 is an odd, it has to be set back using *m = 3m, *27 = 81, so the answer is *27.
