E应该不行，因为句子前后又明显的转折意思，说Elk now live in the Rocky Mountains这个事实让人家认为elk are mountain dwellers，但是它们曾经在all of the continental United States出现，说明它们不一定是mountain dwellers。所以E用since表原因不行。有人能告诉我B怎么不行啊？

GMAT里面which应该是不可以指代整个句子的，10th的OG有明确的说过。
