confuse 了，网上看到一些BS，金融专业是prefer GRE，虽然GMAT也是 acceptable的

可是这里好像大家都在考GRE。。。

我看了很多金融phd(象DUKE和LBS的),好像对GMAT,GRE都没什么明确的要求嘛

GMAT preferred, GRE acceptable in most of the cases.

Columbia requires GRE ONLY

Management PHD program in Finance prefer GMAT，but GRE also acceptable;

and Phd program in Finance (associated with economics) prefer GRE,while GMAT also negotatable.

zenger能说说怎么分辨吗？我怎么没看出区别。大部分学校我都不确定寄什么好。如果两者都寄是利是弊？

Most of the schools list such requirement online.

这个问题我关注很久了，一直到现在几乎都送了分。观察的结果和leighyao完全一致。只是搞不清both acceptable是什么玄机。“Phd program in Finance (associated with economics) prefer GRE”是指什么样的，目前只发现哥大。曾有位前辈指出关键看成绩的可比性。我想申金融的中国学生有数理背景身在米国的很多，那是不是多半有GRE成绩呢？但也有学校透露的意思是有GMAT成绩的申请人多，好比较。NYU的意思是GRE大家数学都perfect，不值钱啦，可是我觉得GMAT成绩才shit呢，跟GRE准备相比真是一本万利的money machine。

废话一堆，总结的结果是这些成绩都没用,还花了那么多银子，多希望能发挥一点点价值，产生微弱的回报。

I believe the Math section for GRE is not in comparison with the one for GMAT, as it doesn't have DS part. Am I right? Have not read anything about GRE for ages. Even in the Verbal section, the focus is different.

If you have both,choose the one you school prefers.

If you don't have one, it is no need to take the other one.
