参考答案是e. but，for不能表示目的，所以我选择c.但是我又疑惑，觉得did后面应该加上so.

所以请大家指点。

老兄，美国传统辞典上for的第一释义就是表目的：Used to indicate the object, aim, or purpose of an action or activity:
为了（用来指一个动作或活动的目的、目标或意图）

running,你看og上，绝对没有for表示目的的句子，只要遇到表示目的的考察，全部都是to引导的，我简直可以打赌了。

Explaination from webster's:

FOR
A used as a function word to indicate purpose //a grant for studying medicine//
B used as a function word to indicate an intended goal //left for home//
C used as a function word to indicate the object or recipient of a perception, desire, or activity //now for a good rest// //run for your life// //an eye for a bargain//

我也觉得在OG上表目的只能用TO的。而FOR是表原因。

for doing sth 在GMAT考试中肯定算错的,OG中有很多这样的例子

学GMAT不要太教条了。

这个地方 provide 和 for是固定搭配。 provide sth for doing...

GDW里面还有好几个真题也是用for doing的。

（1） GWD-18-Q19
