Rutgers Undergrad is ranking between 50-70. This is a very good school indeed. A lot of headquarters located in New Jersey and Rutgers students are taking this advantage to find jobs in New York and New Jersey area.
Actually, there are only two good schools in New Jersey. Princeton and Rutgers. Rutgers is the 8th oldest University in the USA, founded in 1766. I highly recommend Rutgers for its location and academic reputation.
New Jersey has a large Chinese population, so, you can have all the chinese food you want in New Jersey area. Rutgers is only 40 mins away from New York. You won't be homesick if you go to Rutgers. There are many Asian people and Chinese people there, a lot of fun.
Honestly, my four years undergrad life in Rutgers was a joyful and memorable one.
I am glad to help if you are heading for Rutgers.

Dear Jason, thank you so much for your helpful info.
Yes, I'm very interested in Rutgers and New Jersey. I want to stay in New Jersey because some reasons:
1) the headquarter of my employer locates in New Jersey
2) my best Amercan friends are living in New Jersey
3) I like the weather there.
I will apply to Rutgers. But I do want to know more about this decent school. May I contact you via your email address?

hibob, are you sure that you like the weather in New Jersy?
I know a few people may like it very much, but the common public opinion is totally opposite.

Hibob,
Thanks for the inquiring on Rutgers.
Rutgers is the state college of New Jersey. As Jason points out above, it is one of the oldest/best public universities in US. Chinese students have poured here since 1950's (from Taiwan first..and then...of course Mainland.) We even have a half floor for Chinese books in the library. It is basically a "chinese-friendly" school.
Generally speaking, Rutgers Business School is in the 3rd tier - to me, it is so called "local-importance" B-schools. I am currently in its part-time program and don't have too much chance to contact with those full-time students yet. In this area (in a radius of 100-mile), we got a couple of top B-schools, to name a few, UPenn, Columbia, Yale and NYU etc. RBS is surely way from those top-schools from its placement every year.
If your concern is only in location (especially the affiliaty with NYC, then, RBS and Fordam, Pace and Baruch shall be all under your radio gun).
As far as I knew, most RBS students are in the finance major (again, it might be relate to NYC).
Joy,
Andy
