应该是A 如果用but each, 则重心在特指前面2个中的一个。如果用both，则重心在说主语--c & e这两个东东。句子前半句说的是这两者都同意一个东西，后半句说这两者互相指责。细细品味一下，还是应该用Both.

至于the other, 2个东西比较时特指2个中的一个。如 one...the other...

one another 说3个以上东西比较时用，可以参考GWD21-39的题干，....in their similarities to one another....

再顶一次,请在线的大侠们出来说句话把!首先把答案确认了,我选了B,答案是A,可是这里又有人说答案是B。实在是不确定。做题的时候凭预感觉得each 比both 要顺。那么如果b错的话，又错在哪里呢？

我觉得如果是both blame each other就可以理解，但这里是the other，表示特指，必须用each先排除部分。

Clearly, B is better. In A, "both" means 2 people, and "the other" means people other then these 2 guys. However, there are only 2 people here (contractor and engineer) so the A sounds not so good.

如果选A，both blame the other， the other 可能指contrator 和 engineer 以外的第三者，这样与原文意思——两者互相责备相违背。

It should be B because E using "each" instead of "both". "One another" can be used in between parties.

umm..."one another" is used if there is a party of 3 or more.
"each other" should be used if there is a party of 2.

each后不是跟plural verb, each of 后才跟sigular verb么？

而且both还有pron的作用，不是只做adj.和adv.来的。个人认为A更准确！！！

prep语法笔记上说each...the other是错误搭配，虽然我看着A也怪搓七的，但是要是each...the other是明确错误的，那也只能择优选A了，为啥答案是B呢？？？？
