请问C是否错在being（独立主格）?去掉being是否对

我觉得a lifelong这种表达更明确更简洁．使我直接选B 个人的看法

I am not NN, but still glad to share my thoughts on this problem.

Clause, being + adj. is not a preferable expression in GMAT. Actually, I consider it unidiomatic. Additionally, a lifelong means is more succint and presice than the expression "a means of XXX for life"
