    c答案的"with being...and several improvment"，一个介词短语和一个名词短语可以并列么？

    1) "a tripling" is not correct, triple is usually used as a verb but not a noun


    2) " due to the replacement of charcoal by coal for the fuel used in the smelting of iron ore, in addition to several improvements in blowing machinery "  在這句中 : "the replace..." 應和 "several improvement ..." 同位...

    (1)D的时态有问题么？about 140,000 years ago 是否要用过去时？

    (2)E为何it无理？不可以这样理解么？it was thought whom had lived about 140,000 years ago---->it是形式主语？

    首先看动词，LIVE是一个延续性动词，生活不可能是瞬间完成的动作，所以要用完成时。


    it无指代对象，只有在特殊句型中，比如强调这类的才有形式主语之说，否则代词指代就必须要有指代对象，而且不可引起歧异。

    D的时态不但没有问题，应该还很好。不定式的完成时通常表示在谓语之前发生的动作。
