      B.(a reasonably clear picture of  the patterns of ocean currents) and (their causes) have emerged

    用have改变原文的意思，变成了picture和causes的并列。即便改成has，their的指代仍然错。A表达清晰不含歧义。

    我明白了，A中把has emerged 提前是为了避免歧异


    这里是patterns 和causes并列


    如果写成a reasonably clear pictureof the patterns and causes of ocean currents  has emerged


    会让人误会成 picture of the patterns 和causes of ocean currents 一起emerge

    不会误会的，是“has”不是“have”.

    1、subject-verb agreement：排除BD
         picture...has
        there has...a...

    2、Tense：排除CE
         in the last half century（完成时标识，原句亦采用完成时）

    3、Pronoun：排除BCE
         they、their指代不清
