答案选C，我还是不明白，虽然别的选项也都能挑出毛病来，但还是觉得c不想答案啊，我当时实在拿不准了就选了a

两个原因是并列的呀？好像看不出来其中一个原因导致另外一个原因呀？

我一开始选了D,后来发现这是逻辑结构极其混乱.A中Over the course of the eighteenth century不简洁,另外A不形式上不平行,而且颠倒了两个原因的顺序.还是C好一些,因为主句结构简单,with的独立主格结构在这里不会有不清楚的嫌疑,只是being 难以理解,待讨论.

但C 有很明显的逻辑错误。 with的逻辑主语完全是the average ouput. Does it make sense?

我是想说那个as a result of 和后面的BECAUSE不是有冗余的嫌疑么，我倒是觉得E没什么错，除了那个BEING，ETS不是同样病态得追求简洁么，难道以后做题碰到BEING就全部把它归结为是错的吗？

C 首先charocoal不是人,不能用Sb's, 其次没必要用being replaced,这种形式在OG百分之百都错, 第三the last but not least, With...仅表伴随,没办法有效表达是因为XXX而引起XXX, 如果要讲事情发生的原因,最好的方式还是要表达出because或as a result of这种因果关系强烈的句型 [关于with伴随这点可参考OG里的例子]

D 先看句子结构就错了, The replacement of charcoal..., the average output of ironwork tripled....这不是run-on是什么?

It is frequently assumed A is the best answer, or one can at least make do with it... However, if A were chosen, one would argue that the parallelism in this structure would be fundamentally flawed.

我觉得应该是A 语法解题原则首先要遵循逻辑优先原因并列很好只不过as a result of 和because形式不并列这不是基本错误而是形式上不美观但这也不是错啊
