Q14:
Whereas lines of competition are clearly defined in the more established industries, in the Internet industry they are blurred and indistinct, as companies that compete one day may be partners the next.
Answer: B
還是因為B的...the lines of competition...
2. 另外前面有nn提到 "B的competing company 由于定语从句" 但是這樣說來A的" the more established industries" 不也是很好嗎?
3. A的" , as companies that compete one day may be partners the next" 不也是一個完整的句子嗎?
Q14:
Whereas lines of competition are clearly defined in the more established industries, in the Internet industry they are blurred and indistinct, as companies that compete one day may be partners the next.
我觉得A,B的前半部分都没错,因为they附近都有in the internet industry做状语,they可以确定是指代lines,并且B的结构更平行,使得they的指代更清晰。
1。companies that compet 没有competing companies 简洁
2。化简a 为companies may be partners..
化简B为 competing companies may be partners...
Answer: B
"2. 另外前面有nn提到 "B的competing company 由于定语从句" 但是這樣說來A的" the more established industries" 不也是很好嗎"
more established industries是有歧义
Q14:
Whereas lines of competition are clearly defined in the more established industries, in the Internet industry they are blurred and indistinct, as companies that compete one day may be partners the next.
B中,as competing companies one day may be partners the next—— one day是做什么成分呢?
A中大家攻击的the more established industries,并不会有歧义,因为有the;有歧异的案例是to produce more cost-saving small cars(大致如此,呵呵)和to produce small cars that are more cost-saving。
I vote for A.
in B "..., as competing companies one day may be partners the next" What does "one day" modify? A : as companies that compete one day may be partners the next . It is clear and unambiguous.
Also in A, "the more established industries " is ok. The following is search result from Google:
Jurisprudence - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The more established themes are listed below:. Legal history, including legal
historiography and hermeneutics;; Legal philosophy;; Legal science, ...

同意A
competing companies one day may be partners the next
one day / the next都应该是状语
而A中companies that compete one day may be partners the next
one day 修饰compete, the next修饰may be,很通顺。
Whereas lines of
competition are clearly defined in the more established industries, in
the Internet industry they are blurred and indistinct, as companies
that compete one day may be partners the next.
Q14:
Whereas lines of competition are clearly defined in the more established industries, in the Internet industry they are blurred and indistinct, as companies that compete one day may be partners the next.
本来选A.
B:the lines of competition 对应they,in industries that are more established对应 in the Internet industry.competing companies对应paterner. 而A把in the Internet industry 提前,很不好.
再者:Athey指代不清. the more established industries有歧义.
Whereas lines of competition are clearly defined in the more established industries, in the Internet industry they are blurred and indistinct, as companies that compete one day may be partners the next.
。。。 。。”具有比较的意思在里边,所以应该想UNLIKE A,B DO 结构,A和B要是一样的物质
THEY 直待的就是 THE LINES OF 。。。

B: as competing companies one day may be partners the next.
不同意上面的mm,A选项怎么不是句子了? as companies (that compete one day) may be partners the next. nn 指点
as companies (that compete one day) may be partners the next.

A Whereas lines of competition are clearly defined in the more established industries, in the Internet industry they are blurred and indistinct, as companies that compete
B Although the lines of competition are clearly defined in industries that are more established, they are blurred and indistinct in the Internet industry, as competing companies
a中的MORE可以修饰industries, 也可以修饰established
the latter part of B sounds like a perfect parellelism to
me:
competing companies one day
may be
partners the next ("day" understood).
in comparision, A obviously doesnt do well, unless it is changed into something
like:
as companies that compete
one day may cooperate the next.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Make sense, vote for B now
B中in industries that are more established, 与in the Internet industry不对称,
Whereas" and "although" are both correct. We can't choose between A and B on the basis of these words.
The reference of the pronoun "they" is unambiguous in both A and B. It refers both logically and grammatically to the subject of the preceding clause "lines." We can't choose between A and B on the basis of this word either.
What makes B wrong is the phrase: "as competing companies one day may be partners the next." The separation of "competing" from "one day" confuses the intended meaning. In A, "companies that compete one day may be partners the next" is clear and logical.

3.B错,是因为后半句 as competing companies one day may be partners the next.
4. 正如前面一个MM说的,the more established industries 没有歧异,the more 只能修饰established, 不同于more established industries,就会有歧义了。
A. as companies that compete one day may be partners the next.
