A. there are less than one-quarter that many

B. there are fewer than one-quarter as many

C. there are fewer than one-quarter of that amount

D. the number is less than one-quarter the amount

E. it is less than one-quarter of that amount

这题我一直在C和D之间徘徊，觉得两个选项都有不足。

大家讨论一下吧：）

应该是D吧。

C中，there are 跟后面的amount不对应。跟amount具有可比性的应该也是单数。
