1.C，比较结构，in Hungary, as in Eastern Europe，排除BDE。修饰人只能用who/whom不能用which，A排除。
2.C，考察并列：agreed that… but that…，排除AB。D如果用was any better那么that应换成if，排除；E的is or is not很累赘，用whether更加简洁。Than is的is多余，排除。
3.B，主语主语是a new study estimated that votes cast were not counted. Citing A, B, C, and D是做study的伴随状语。
4.C，并列，resulted和did并列。E用while引导新句子ok，但是that there would be多余了。
5.A（选错，应选E）考察两个知识点：1. A is to B what C is to D，排除BCD; 2. 主语要跟同位语的A leading figure性质一致。Figure指人，所以逻辑上主语不能是AS’s books，ABC都要排除。
