标题: 白勇课堂笔记section 5-22的困惑
22 The capital of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Sarajevo's population on the eve of the First World War was 51,919.
(A) Bosnia-Herzegovina, Sarajevo's population  
(B) Bosnia-Herzegovina is Sarajevo, whose population whose不能指带sarajevo
(C) Bosnia-Herzegovina is Sarajevo, with a population 介词短语做定语
(D) Bosnia-Herzegovina, Sarajevo having a population that这样就是同位语好像说不过去
(E) Bosnia-Herzegovina, the population of Sarajevo


这个题目做的时候在B,C之间犹豫了很久，选择了C，因为Sarajevo是一个国家，所以决定不能用whose指带，觉得用which才正确。然后觉得with a population是一个介词短语做定语，没有什么不对呀？


能不能请哪位NN来指正我的错误呀。谢谢

个人觉得用with就要带前面的半句话了。

with是介词，后面不能跟主谓结构，也就是不能跟一个句子做宾语，而显然题目中后面不是名词而是一个主谓结构was 51,919，因此用with肯定是不对的。而whose则不一样，它是引导从句的，和后面的主魏结构可以连在一起~~~~一点卓见呵呵

whose的指带是不是只能是指人？它和which在引导从句的时候有什么区别呀？我一直都认为which是指物。而whose是指人


又找到了一个反驳自己的例子：GWD-7-15

这里which 和who的区别又是什么呢？我觉得这里用which比用who 要保险。

whose可以指代人，也可以指代物

此题主要考同位语和逻辑，


同位语要对等：AE把capital和population对等，造成逻辑错误，直接排除AE


句子结构的正确：C中with后接句子错误(with a population... was...)，D缺乏谓语，没有主句，having不能充当主语(... having... that...)，故排除CD


B是正确的，句子结构：SVO,whose从句，whose指代宾语Sarajevo

which指代物，who指代人、主格


此题只能选WHO，因为这里指代的是人，看提亮的地方就明白了
