B与E中滴his指代不清，C与D中的FORWARD可以省略，意思与after, from重复，从句义上来说，后面一句是主句的同位语，而D,E改为分词形式，改变了句义，主语变成H.D这个人，SO，答案是A。另外要注意since的用法，BCDE中的表达均不如since then来得常用和简洁，一般口语中的ever since在G中ever可以省略.

What is the difference in use between especially and specially, and between ablility and capabilty?


especially表示特别地，尤其地，可以修饰形容词，动词，同位语，状语，sepcially有一个意思也是特别地，尤其地，可以修饰形容词，但一般不修饰动词，同位语，状语，另外sepcially还有一个意思是特意地，专门地，此时与especially不能混用。


一般情况下，especially用于修饰同位语，动词，状语比较多，而specially常用于修饰形容词。


此例中两词可以混用。


不选A是因为所有格，应该用OF而不是'S。


另外，the ability to do sth是习惯用语，ability后不接其它介词

You mean "sth since sb" is right?  I guess the noun followed by "since Robert..." should be chemist but not chemistry.

since sb，since sth是正确用法，从某人开始，从某事开始；常见的是since then, since that time~~


关于ability的用法，如果是要界定哪方面的能力，不是谁滴能力，一定只能用TO滴，如his ability to solve the problem...
