标题: 有关嵌入式关系分句的问题
虽然是一道CR，但是因为语法问题没看懂选项意思，求求nn解答！
题目如下，有点看不懂B选项标红的地方～
Plant scientists have used genetic engineering on seeds to produce crop plants that are highly resistant to insect damage. Unfortunately, the seeds themselves are quite expensive, and the plants require more fertilizer and water to grow well than normal ones. Thus, for most farmers the savings on pesticides would not compensate for the higher seed costs and the cost of additional fertilizer. However, since consumer demand for grains, fruits, and vegetables grown without the use of pesticides continues to rise, the use of genetically engineered seeds of this kind is likely to become widespread.

答案是C，po主选了B。当时也是在BC之间犹豫了好久T T，看答案才发现自己好像没整明白B选项的意思，所以抠出来问下大家。
B) The second is a state of affairs that the argument denies will be part of that outcome.
po主首先把这句话归类为嵌入式关系分句。有关嵌入式关系分句的解读，这里引用了tankobe的帖子。

嵌入式关系分句，详解如下：
“有一种关系分句（即定语从句），它既是先行项的后置修饰语（即定语），同时又是另外一个分句结构的宾语（即宾语从句）”此分句结构就被嵌入在定语从句中，即嵌入式关系分句。
该书举例：In his breast-pocket he had a patch of scarlet, which i suppose was the paper cap serving as a handkerchief.
注意两点：
1）从句which was the paper cap serving as a handkerchief 首先是 patch of scarlet的定语从句。
2）从句which（patch of scarlet） was the paper cap serving as a handkerchief 也是i suppose 的宾语从句，即I suppose （that）the patch of scarlet was the paper cap serving as a handkerchief 。
综上所述，但一个定语从句同时是另一个主谓结构的宾语从句是，就可以写为嵌入式关系分句。

我用了两种方法来理解标红句子，但是是相悖的！所以我更迷惑了！
Method1 套详解
the second is a state of affairs that the argument denies will be part of that outcome
= 1) The second is a state of affairs that will be part of that outcome + 2) The argument denies that a state of affairs will be part of that outcome
综合来看，这句话的意思是不是可以被理解为：the second boldface是一堆argument认为不会成为outcome的事。
Method2 把the argument denies看作插入语省略掉
此时句子变成：The second is a state of affairs that will be part of that outcome.
这句话的意思就变成：the second boldface是一堆会成为outcome的事。（和上面的分析相悖！）
但我本人认为deny的反对意思是不能直接被省略的，这样处理好像不太对？
实在搞不明白这个问题！求求大家帮帮忙！

按楼主提供的嵌入式分句帖子链接（如正确），此句含两个分句：
1）a state of affairs that will be part of that outcome;
2) the argument denies that a state of affairs will be part of that outcome.
第二句是事物的状态，该论点否认，此事物状态将成为结果的一部分

感谢！现在想通了！我对标红句子的理解是这样的：第二句是一种会成为结果的事态（但是该论点否认这个事态的发生）
