为什么A不对？全体表演人员应该是复数概念，为什么这里的谓语用单数阿？

根据朗文上的解释：[countable also + plural verb] British English a small group of musicians, actors, or dancers who perform together regularly

看后边 were touted as...the best group  

我想它是强调它们是一个整体 所以用单数

强调整体众的每一个人时才用复数形式

请指教
