这道题虽然其他的错的很明显，但是og答案里说C对是因为whether……和to what extent平行；这个我很困惑，这怎么平行啊？

focus这个词本身既可以是名词又可以是动词，但是，在(A)(B)两个选项中的focus必然为名词。因为，只有名词身前才能有冠词（a focus），并且也只有名词才能有物主代词（its focus）。划线部分的意思是：对温室效应的讨论一般会关注全球气候变暖的可能性，以及会达到何种程度。

选项分析：

A选项：主谓不一致，主语discussion是单数，所以其谓语动词也应为单数，即，has；
其次，本选项可以看作一个倒装句，还原为正常语序则有：
Discussion of greenhouse effects have usually had the possibility as a focus.
按照字面理解，这句话的意思是，讨论拥有一个可能性来作为关注。显然地，这是不正确的。正确的意思是，讨论关注了一种可能性。

谢谢，但是你没有解答我的问题，我的疑惑是这俩是如何平行的，就是为什么能认为A中的这两个是平行的

to what extent省略了前面已经内的内容。
