标题: 再问OG2020-CR-673! 求助~

Farmer:Several people in the past few years have claimed to have seen a mountain lionin the suburban outskirts—the latest just last month—and, while mountain lionswere thought to have been driven from this entire region about twenty yearsago, there is no reason for the people who reported seeing a mountain lion tohave deliberately concocted a false report. Therefore, local wildlife managersshould begin to urgently address the mountain lion's presence.

Whichof the following would, if true, most seriously weaken the farmer's argument?

A. Farmers in the suburban outskirts mostly raisecattle and hogs, which when fully grown are generally not attacked by mountainlions.

B. Mountain lions are dissimilar in size andcolor to other wild animals found near the suburban outskirts.

C. No person who claimed to have seen a mountainlion had anyone else with them at the purported sighting.

D. There have been no regional reports in thepast year of mountain lions migrating to the area.

这道题的逻辑链是：有人举报→（山狮一定存在）→需要采取措施

我想请问C项，既然题目里说了没有人会故意提交假的报告，但是C项不是暗示了就是有人故意提交假的报告吗？这样不就是attack Premise？为什么C选项还正确呢？当初也是因为这个原因直接排除了C。以下是我对其他选项的分析~

A. 与逻辑链无关
B. 山狮和其他动物不一样，暗示居民不可能看错，加强逻辑链
D. 没有山狮往这个地区迁徙的报告（我最后选了D....) 没有山狮往这个地方迁徙，代表实际上山狮并不存在？说明村名的报告不可信？
E. 有一些人举报见过山狮，另外这些人报告从来没有见过。和到底存不存在没有关系

所以作者的结论也就不成立了。
所以C选项most seriously weaken the farmer's argument。

我以前好像遇到过直接攻击premise的题目然后是错误的，下面是L给的归纳~

weaken题目正确选项从来不会攻击premise（即前提都是默认为真的）（除非该前提是一个sub-conclusion），因此寻找正确答案时，一定要找那个能攻击到推理链的，不要找直接攻击前提的。

这一道题好像和以往做的题目都不太一样，感觉20年的cr是不是思路上有一些改变...

没有人会造假已经不是Premise了吧，Premise应该是Several people in the past few years have claimed to have seen a mountain lionin the suburban outskirts.没有人会造假应该已经是作者的推理链了~

我感觉这么说也有道理，但是为什么不是没有人造假和有人claim都是premise呢？？

这道题你的逻辑链是对的，但是对C选项理解有些偏差，C选项并不是在暗示“有人故意提交假的报告”，而是在暗示“有人以为自己看到狮子，但是其实看错了。他们没有故意提交假报告，但是他们提交了错误的报告。”这样一来，没有破坏题目中的premise，但是weaken了逻辑链条：有人说看到了狮子，虽然他没有撒谎，但他可能看错了,所以并没有狮子。

我自己也做错了这道题，不过后来看了一些论坛讨论。希望对你有帮助。
