4.0的标准算法还是4.0的改进算法？

这个坛子有一股错误的倾向,就是老是想着怎么替申请学校减轻负担.我的意见是,自作主张计算GPA这股风不可涨.你毕业的学校没有GPA或者成绩排名的话,就不要自作聪明.我就不填,让申请学校决定.

忘记一点.SELF-REPORT TRANSCRIPT都有地方让你填你毕业学校的GRADING SYSTEM, 你只要说明清楚,申请学校自会理解.

支持。我也就只寄百分制成绩单。 Wharton申请FAQ也说了，不必转换。

你问了哪一家?我问了DARDEN,人家就说你只要填百分数.

有的学校的申请表格中有专门的填写GPA一项。

A16: For U.S. students entering Wharton in September 2005, the average GPA is 3.5 on a 4.0 scale; however, as with the GMAT, there are no cutoffs. (International students or U.S. students who were not awarded GPAs from their undergraduate institutions should not translate their grades into a GPA score. If this is your situation, report your performance as it was recorded in your official academic records or transcripts.) In evaluating transcripts, the Admissions Committee does not focus on the GPA in isolation. The entire academic history is examined to reveal the rigor of the program, any trends of strength or weakness in specific areas, and any patterns of improvement. In addition, we factor into our evaluation any additional commitments (such as work or extracurricular activities) an applicant had while studying. We will also look at all classes taken since undergraduate, including additional graduate work.

This point of view sounds great. It's really hard to correctly translate a orginal one ot a objective GPA score.

请教大家一个情况，是我的心头大患。关于GPA的。美国的MBA录取，各商学院平均GPA基本上都在3.4或以上，小女子很是迷惑，这3.4究竟是百分比的多少成绩，因为看到大家的说法，好像很多学校都会重新计算一下申请者的gpa的。

我现在的情况是，按照学校的计算方法（上海财经大学），GPA只有2.9。我的百分比平均分数是80。我问过复旦的一个朋友，复旦如果平均分是80的话，差不多是A-或者B+,gpa是3.7或者是3.3。（这只是我听来的，不能够完全保证正确，如果有错误，请谅解）。2.9和3.3相差太多了，我真的是太伤心了，有点开始恨财大了，如果是2.9，基本上好学校都不用申请了。

但是我想应该有办法解决这个问题的，请大家出出主意好吗？我真的是心急如焚阿。努力了这么多，难道就让该死的财大这么害了！！！

求救求救！！

Academically,a strong GMAT score may compensate your low GPA that you can drop a few lines in supplement essay to explain. From what I know, bschools have about 80% of students whose GPA is 3.0-3.8, meaning somebody with a GPA lower than 3.0 got admitted too.
