标题: 选校 GWU MBA (9W）Vs. Foster MBA
其实LZ现在还在等Foster，但是很快要交GWU的填坑费。因为GWU给的钱真的多，所以就算拿到了Foster的Offer也会很纠结。想看看大家的看法！

还要有没有GWU MBA的校友，可以交流一下项目经验的？？

Hey there,
Foster is a higher-ranked program, but that may not matter much in the grand scheme of things, especially if you are looking at tuition ROI and the GWU offer makes that program much less costly than Foster. Foster is about $50K out-of-state and ranked #21 on US News & World Report and GWU is about $52K per year (no out-of-state consideration since it's private rather than public) and ranked #61. So GWU is less prestigious but if it is waaaaaayyy less expensive that might not matter to you. Neither of these schools have grade non-disclosure, so your grades will matter for what employment you seek post-MBA. That said, you could make the argument that if your class rank was higher at GWU (bigger fish in a smaller pond) it could make up for the lower ranking. In general, we tell our applicants to go to the best school they can get into to maximize ROI. But sometimes big swings in tuition can make a big difference to an applicant, and you need to decide for yourself how much that matters to you.

Another big difference between these two schools to consider is location. GWU is east coast whereas Foster is west coast. Foster is going to be stronger in tech and fintech, not just because it's more prestigious, but because it's close to the major recruiting hubs of Seattle, San Francisco, and Portland. If you *know* you want to be in Seattle or SF post-MBA working in tech, then I'd go to Foster, even at the higher cost. On the other hand, GWU is a strong brand in the Northeast. GWU in general has been climbing the rankings across the board generally (especially the undergrad program) so it's brand is on a northward trajectory that will probably continue.

You can probably buy a *few* (read: less than a week) days with GWU past their official deposit deadline if you say you are waiting on another school. But they aren't likely going to stretch more than a week. If you need more time than that to hear back from Foster, then you should look into GWU. Be careful, though, with reading the fine print regarding a potentially binding deposit. Some deposit paperwork makes you attest to withdrawing your application from consideration for other schools. This is often the case for early decision type of applications (probably not the case here given timing). You may still decide to renege even if the decision is binding, but you need to know what you are doing and whether or not there will be consequences for this.

同等Foster，看楼主career plan，个人觉得如果是要做corporate，hi-tech方向的话，没有比foster更合适的地方了（实习质量，就业环境）。如果做金融，consulting，可以考虑GWU，毕竟这个奖真的很诱人

不知道Foster现在上不上班

我主要是觉得Foster 的师资力量比较好，工作方面我没有太担心。

Foster 一定是更好的学校啦，申请过程中和Foster的学生沟通了解，觉得这项目很充实，课程设置也很实在，我是非常喜欢的。就看LZ觉得这两个学校差异值不值9W刀了，真金白银啊。

9W 真的是很难选择了。如果是个5W 我都不那么纠结哈哈
