Hey there,
As with any wait list management, you want to make sure that any supplementary material that you submit is allowed under the terms of your waitlist letter. Look at the materials provided to you when you were waitlisted and figure out what sort of material you are allowed/encouraged to submit that demonstrates growth and achievement beyond your application materials (e.g., a promotion or raise at work, an enhanced performance ranking at work, additional recommendation letters - sometimes ones from alums can be helpful, a higher GMAT score upon retake, a higher TOEFL score upon retake).
Just make sure that whatever you are submitting is allowed under the waitlist materials you recieved. If the AdCom put you on a waitlist and requested that you not send in any additional materials, then surely do not send in additional materials. You don't want to appear as if you are not following directions.
