网上很多G友的答案为E，但是我有一点不明provide sth for doing这种用法是否可行？是否to determine更好些？

c ； Ce中有争议，主要在于provide sb to do sth 表达更好，以及c中when they did的表达有些罗唆，确实e中how and when连起来带句子更清楚。但是个人更倾向于d，介词for+动词ing形式在gmat里基本上是十恶不赦的啊～～

我之前选择C，现在改选E了。

for doing确实在gmat中不太好，但是这种情况之发生在使用for表示动作时

例如：for bringing之类这里的determine不属于具体动作，所以for determining还是可以的。如果把C改成when they did so，我就会选择C答案。

there's another Gwd that has a question in which "evidence for doing sth". I think all should check it out. Clue for doing sth and evidence for doing sth should be the same.

C中错误是不是因为DID后面应该加个宾语？没有宾语的应该是这种情况：I run faster than her do.本题中DO后应该加宾语吧。
