兄弟，考點有2:
1. as ... as
2. 實主詞 be likely to V / 虛主詞 It is likely that S V ，兩個標準英文寫法上的區別。

这道题正确答案是E，正如上为兄弟所说，as..as固定搭配, equally同为副词但不能取代前一个as 还有 be likely to 和 it is likely that 的区别
但是有个不明白的点，为什么they are the current one 可以省略to exceed

找到答案了，as...as中，省略的情况基本有二：一是从句和主句重复的成分可省；二是把时间、地点相对比的话，第一个as可以说省略，如：He is (as) happy in hard time as in good time.

equal/equally不与as连用的。
