标题: 关于msf 文书ps里的career goal求大神解答~
在写career goal的时候，短期目标是在一个零售行业（eg.Pepsi）或者GE 做financial analyst，长期目标是做controller，求各位大神解答这样写合理吗？
看了下我主要想申的Brandeis Rochester 等等的msf就业报告，感觉还是银行、保险这些金融机构比较保险呀

会不会因为goal不切实际被拒呢？

那如果是我现在的这个goal的话是不是相对难度低一些呢~

我觉得跟我的经历还是蛮符合的，但是我看了就业报告之后发现这样就业的人可能只有7%左右...会不会让招生官认为与他们项目的培养方向不符合呢~

It's a good idea to match you short-term employment preferences to employers that actually do recruit at the school. For instance, if the school has a great recruiting relationship with Coca-Cola, but zero students joined Pepsi last year, then you should probably espouse interest in Coca-Cola vs. Pepsi.

All schools want to make sure that the students they accept are eminently employable in the fields that they chose. They definitely don't want students to be unemployed 3 months after business school OR not making very much money, because both of these metrics adversely affect their rankings.

It sounds like you've already done your research on different post-MBA opportunities at the individual schools to which you are applying -- that's great. Once you sync the options that are actually available at that school with what you'd most prefer, you need to ask yourself if that particular path is doable given your prior experience. You want to make sure that you aren't aiming for something too lofty. For instance, if you've never worked in finance before, it may be foolhardy to write that you want to work at a hedge fund. If Brandeis and Rochester have people going into retail in positions like the ones you described above (e.g. Pepsi & GE), then I think these types of opportunities are fine to write about as long as you have the requisite prior experience to get a job at a firm like this.

Keep in mind that AdComs do want some professional diversity, so even if they send a lot of people to banks and insurance companies, they still want people to do other things so that their alum base is diversified. I'd be more worried about your long term goal of controller. That's potentially fine but I'm worried it sounds overly general. Controller of what type of company/division/industry? Make sure you address that level of specificity in your essays.

作为MSF毕业然后工作了几年的过来人表示，不用太考虑和他们的毕业以后数据相符的问题，只要看和自己的经历相符度就好了，MSF没那么看career goal，和MBA很不一样，主要还是看之前的学校专业三维和实习，我现在回看我当时的career goal写得一塌糊涂，但当年申的学校也全都录了
