请问b项这里为什么不是now和in 1960 比较呢

resulting in wood now costs eight times as much to collect and distribute as in 1960 对不对呢

不对的 因为in是介词，后面不可以接句子的(wood costs是主谓结构  句子了)

可以去搜一下胡诌gmat公众号，里面小程序都是免费的语音讲解，文字的干货也很多，还不错。

ABC的resulting in wood有歧义，这里说的应该是导致了“现在木头分发和收集费用达到了八倍”，而不是导致了“木头”
而且这里时间有时间对比，now和in 1960对比，所以需要补出助词did。

我也做错了，resulting in wood后面的所有都是修饰成分，修饰wood用，去掉这些修饰成分这个句子的意思就变成了“造成木头”，所以意思就不对了

result in wood第一是因为语义不对，第二是因为result in + Noun后面noun modifier情况不多见。另外，比较有时态变化的，比较对象不能省略所以it did要补全。

这题选D其实有逻辑和暗示可循
首先B选项resulting in wood有歧义，这里说的应该是导致了“现在木头。。。费用达到了八倍”，而不是导致了“木头”
其次不同时间点的比较（now vs in 1960）要补出谓语动词did，不能省略
最后画线句前面有逗号，暗示后面加介词and可以跟完整句子
跟完整句子的话，前后两句话就是并列关系，而不是伴随关系，符合语义
