这道题我至少错过三次了，感觉自己还是没有真正理解错误的地方

，求小伙伴们赐教#

我选的是E，因为我觉得有的时候伴随着过度补偿的现象，而长出一只额外的手是过度补偿的解释和结果

呜呜，木有人理，翻了翻之前讨论这个题的帖子，这个帖子感觉挺有用的：https://forum.chasedream.com/thread-875651-1-1.html，指路希望能帮到同样有困惑的小伙伴，不过我现在对于with的用法还是挺迷茫的~再在CD上找一找，找到了贴上来~

先看前半句，Starfish, with anywhere from five to eight arms, have a strong regenerative ability, and if
得出的信息是什么？ Startfish是一个复数。

开始分析:
A one arm is lost it quickly replaces it, sometimes by the animal overcompensating and growing an extra one or two.
One arm is lost, 没问题。 it quickly replaces it, 第一个it指代starfish，第二个it指代one arm。两个it指代模糊，而且startfish是复数，那么可以排除A了。

B one arm is lost it is quickly replaced, with the animal sometimes overcompensating and growing an extra one or two.
One arm is lost, 没问题。 it is quickly replaced, it指代one arm。这部分OK。
with +n+ing，独立主格，修饰it is quickly replaced，指出与主句的联系，没什么问题。
句意也说得明白，在这个过程中，可能出现的其他情况。
overcompensating 和 growing 平行，很养眼。
保留

C they lose one arm they quickly replace it, sometimes by the animal overcompensating, growing an extra one or two.
they lose one arm,没问题。they quickly replace it，指代清楚，OK。
by在此处，问题极大。 starfish replace arm by the animal overcompensating?
意义不对了，只是通过compensating而不是overcompensating。overcompensating导致的是growing an extra one or two.
所以C不对。

D they lose one arm they are quickly replaced, with the animal sometimes overcompensating, growing an extra one or two.
they lose one arm,没问题。they are quickly replaced，they意指arm，可是arm是单数，不能用they替代。并且前面的they意指starfish。双重指代，排除D。

E they lose one arm it is quickly replaced, sometimes with the animal overcompensating, growing an extra one or two.
they lose one arm,没问题。it is quickly replaced, it指代one arm，OK。

其实第一眼看下去，我觉得E不大好。
，sometimes with the animal overcompensating，我可以看作是插入语，那么it is quickly replaced growing an extra one or two 就很怪异。
而如果我不把它看作是插入语，growing意义上是修饰the animal的，那么overcompensating也是修饰the animal的，为什么不像B一样用and连接，非要用逗号隔开呢。

其次，就是sometimes的问题。
sometimes with the animal 和 with the animal sometimes 这两个有没有区别。
我觉得有区别。 sometimes with the animal overcompensating, growing an extra one or two.
那么就意味着，sometimes with the animal xxxxx, growing an extra one or two.
有些时候因为overcompasating，多长了几根手臂。有些时候因为其他原因，多长了几根手臂。这个完全扭曲了句意了。

而海星有时候因为overcompensating ，多长了几根手臂。这个才是原句想表达的。

综上，我觉得B比E更好。
