楼主解题的点没有找对。
看见了than，找平行。
A：than political opposition is， is有没有相对应的be动词对应，没有，直接排除
B, C, E：to the nuclear industry than political opposition, 有歧义。
Financial uncertainties prove more deterring to the nuclear industry than financial uncertainties prove deterring to political opposition
还是Financial uncertainties prove more deterring to the nuclear industry than political opposition prove deterring to the nuclear industry
D： than is political opposition， is和前面的be对应，平行。所以对。
