不考虑时态等其他的splits，单就从appositive还是comma which还是comma verbing来看，DE选项是不是可以理解为伴随状语，modify the entire action of preceding clause "that Mexico accounted for more than a quarter of all foreign-born residents of the United States" and apply to the subject "Mexico".并且满足the "ing" action is SIMULTANEOUS with, and SUBORDINATE to, the main action
答案说因为DE选项起不到同位语的作用所以排除掉了DE，各位大佬能不能帮我看一下伴随状语能不能说得通
