标题: OG逻辑 飞机场题目求救
Last year Comfort Airlines had twice as many delayed flights as the year before, but the number of complaints from
passengers about delayed flights went up three times. It is unlikely that this disproportionate increase in complaints was
rooted in an increase in overall dissatisfaction with the service Comfort Airlines provides, since the airline made a special
effort to improve other aspects of its service last year.

Which of the following, if true, most helps to explain the disproportionate increase in customer complaints?

(A) Comfort Airlines had more fl ights last year than the year before.

(B) Last year a single period of unusually bad weather caused a large number of fl ights to be delayed.

(C) Some of the improvements that Comfort Airlines made in its service were required by new government regulations.

(D) The average length of a fl ight delay was greater last year than it was the year before.

(E) The average number of passengers per flight was no higher last year than the year before.

我看了目前能看的全部的解释和说明, 都说只是说了一句话, E 无关,   选择D. 本人逻辑真实应该有问题, 我的想法是, 今年Delay 比去年涨了一倍, Complaints 涨了3倍, 那么一定是每个航班上的人和去年相比变多了才会导致抱怨的的次数比起来delay 更多(可以进行计算), 至于D, delay的时间长短, 无论是10 mins 还是  1 hours, 只要他晚点, 大家都很着急要赶飞机,都会抱怨,这才是无关吧.


我觉得很多解释, 都是在知道答案的前提下进行解释说明, 就是按照答案的方向思路走, 其他干扰项目无法说明他错的就说这个选择无关, 你们有这样的感觉吗>

延误两倍,抱怨三倍。不知道楼主知不知道什么是同比。举个栗子tom昨天吃了一个苹果,今天多吃了一个。这个比较是建立在昨天的数据上的,她不是独立的。回题目,比上年延误多两倍,必然是建立在其他基础一样的条件下。假设,tom 今天吃一个苹果,Jessica 今天多吃了一个。你能比较吗?不可以因为这两个是没有关系的。Jessica 昨天吃了多少我不知道。明白了吗

First of all, your point that " there must be " the other reason why the numbers are not matching is totally a great start, and I also have to say, the way you think is not incorrect. So, good job. However, we also have to admit the other fact that your argument is sufficient enough to have the argument happens, but not necessary to make the argument solid.

Second, if there are no the other reason sufficiently to sold the argument, what we have to do is to ask ourself why could be have the insight that " there must be the other reasons to makes the numbers dismatched " As a result, " overall numbers of the passengers increased to lead to the overall numbers of the complaints increased " is just one of the possible answers. In that sense, your reasoning is not incorrect, and all you have to do is to think about if there are any other possible sufficient condition that can lead the situation happened.  

A. if the flight last year is more than this year, then certainly, the overall numbers of the passenger must be less than last year of this year. If the numbers of passengers really decreased this year, then it would not be true compared to our original insights.

B. So ? we are not discussing about the cause of the delays. I will complain about the delays, but not the " cause " of the delays.

C. So? As long as the improvement is made, I would not care about whom establish the regulations.

D. **** " Important " ****. ok, so that's why here is the new reason being counted in. Let me give you the example. Supposed we do have 50 people waiting for the connecting flight from San Jose to Miami, and 40 people would not complain if the delay time is less than 2 hours, and the rest of the 10 would complain even if there is only 1 mins delay. So, is that possible that even though the total numbers of the passengers does not changed from last years; however, even though the fact that half of the delays of year ago would be the numbers of delays of this year, the " numbers " of the passengers " submit " the complains doubled due to the fact that those " 40 " people " might " complain due to the greater length of the delays.

So, yes, there must be other reason, and the reason must be relied on the number differences. However, you presumed that the ratios of passenger submitting the complaints must be the same of both years, if your original reason must be true. As a result, what if the total numbers of the passengers does not change ? then it must be true that the ratio of submitting the complaints to be different.

E. It could be true that the average number of passengers per flight was no higher last year than the year before. However, it " does not connect to the argument as to make it airtight ".

* There must be something happened to make the overall complaints increased.

It could be either 1, the total amount of the complaints increased due to total amount of the passengers increased, or 2, the total amount of the complaints increased due to a new reason that relevant to the delays happened. Or even both !

As to your point " 至于D, delay的时间长短, 无论是10 mins 还是  1 hours, 只要他晚点, 大家都很着急要赶飞机,都会抱怨,这才是无关吧. "

*你的必要假設為, 抱怨比率恆為不變。  因為只要抱怨比率恆為有變, 你的argument 就不對了。

很简单的道理 延误久了 抱怨的人自然多了 你如果经常坐飞机就会发现 延误30分钟 并没有什么人去登机口抱怨 但是如果延误几个小时 就会堆满人 这题个人感觉不需要那么多的分析 很简单的逻辑问题

有关无关是解释CR题的最好办法,但不是做题的最佳办法。
这题楼上解释的很好
有效的途径是抓住选项核心和CR文章的逻辑链,进行比较排除错误/和逻辑链不相关/不能削弱、加强、解释等结论的选项,找出相对优的选项。

这题是解决延误增加和抱怨增加不是对设备不满意带来的这两者的矛盾。
因:延误增加
果:抱怨增加
给果找个别的因
所以是D

那如果E改成平均每家载客量比前年高。。可以选吗 我也觉得E不是无关
