只有在A\C之间选择，其他错误都比较明显。

因为C更简洁。所以选C.

请大家注意此处much的用法：

这里的which和them是指women work吧？women这里不做成分，只是修饰work,them不能指代修饰词。我认为这里选C是为了指代明确，them指代复数women work很明确，但是which可以指代a proportion,因为是A of B的结构，用which指代不清，所以用只能指代复数的them.

an overwhelming proportion of women work.

"an overwhelming proportion of women" is subject. "work" is predicate verb of the sentence.

if we want to introduce a clause, "many of who are in..." is fine.

if we want to use independent structure, "many of them in..." is fine.
