答案是C
最后留下选项CD ，但是选了D
想请问下各位大神， 选项D错误原因是 in comparison 和 whereas 重复吗？
选项C the yellow jacket’s stinger is smooth, and thus able to be 其中 , and able to 这个用法对吗？ 最好指导下选项C 错误原因 ， 感谢！

首先一个比较问题the honeybee’s stinger需要和 the yellow jacket’s stinger平行，因此排除了ABE，只剩下了BC选项
然后语法问题基本排除了之后，就要看meaning
D选项：able to be pulled out和smooth平行，那么言下之意就是主语为the yellow jacket’s stinger
这里逻辑就完全错误了，因为stinger不能作为 be able to 的主语
想要做be able to 的主语，那么这个主语必须实实在在的拥有这项技能， 然而stinger不能拥有技能

谢谢回复！ 我查了一下： be able to 强调通过努力而获得的能力,而can则强调自身已具有的能力. 曼哈顿中有提到 动词优于形容词 比如 can 优于 be able to 这样比较， 用can比较好。 对于选项D 我还有一个疑惑：如果看成smooth 和able 并列，中间的逗号是不是不make sense ? 如果and 连接两个句子主语相同，只需动词并列， 那么这样是正确的吗? the yellow jacket’s stinger is smooth ， and is able to be.... 我看网上有人指出 选项D in comparison 和 whereas 重复， 你怎么看呢？

其实也不是严格的并列，而是and连接的两个句子由于主语相同而省略了主语而已
还有就是确实重复了，whereas A, B 就已经表转折了
