逗号+doiing 表结果为什么不对呢

B选项说maritime code刺激了争论，而C选项主句描述了maritime code的内容，这个作为

stimulating的逻辑主语，我觉得没有什么区别呀

还有大家提到的一种说法逗号+now/already doing doing 一定是发生在主句之后这里也刚好符合呀，stimulating....是主句Even tiny islets can be.....的结果

c选项stimulating的逻辑主语变成了Even tiny islets，而且意思不对，原句的意思是因为maritime code里面的这些条款给予了even tiny islets也有claim的机会，才simulate了dispute

请问为什么不能把even tiny islets can be the basis for claims to the fisheries and oil fields of large sea areas一整件事情作为 stimulating的逻辑主语，逗号+doing不是可以表结果吗

comma ing的形式要满足两点，缺一不可：1/它修饰前面整个句子，同时它要能是主语发出来的行为；2/要么它表示同一时间发生的动作；要么表示结果。

1/它修饰前面整个句子，同时它要能是主语发出来的行为
这个是表结果
2/要么它表示同一时间发生的动作
这个是表伴随
为什么说1.2两点要同时满足？

1是一定要的 + 2当中选一个，你多看看有关comma ing的句子，或者看看ron的视频，又一个专门的是讲这个的，我觉得还是要在context里面来分析，不要钻牛角尖也不会尝试的去背一些hard rules....

COMMA + -ING modifiers must modify the preceding clause, but the -ING participle must also apply to the subject of the preceding clause.
therefore, the use of that comma+ing modifier would imply that the islets themselves are stimulating disputes. that's not true.
