标题: OG 695 独立主格问题求解答！
With corn, soybean, and wheat reserves ---being low enough so--- a poor harvest would send prices skyrocketing, grain futures brokers and their clients are especially interested in weather that could affect crops.

(A) being low enough so
(B) so low such that
(C) so low that
(D) that are low enough so
(E) that are so low such that

想问一下如果A选项改为being so low that（也就是在C选项前加being）算对吗？

Ron男神说过，搞懂对的为啥对，错的为啥错就好啦，NEVER试着去把错误选项改对，因为没用，答案都是对比选出来的

然后如果你非要这么改的话，我个人认为语法上不能说绝对错，但是跟C一比就是错的，因为wordy

酱紫！想起来好像之前是有看到说n.+adj.和n.+being+adj.两种表达同一意思时前者更好的说法~谢谢~

嗯嗯不用谢～我记得Ron说过，Being做修饰几乎都是错的，除非是真的强调被修饰的对象此时此刻正在做这件事，如（自己瞎编的例子） he was taking a picture of his girlfriend being cute.
这里being就强调的是在拍照片的时候，女朋友真的在努力的being cute（也就是本来可能不咋cute哈哈）

Ron原话：in fact, i don't think you're EVER going to see "being X" as a modifier, because, in any such case, you could simply eliminate "being" to produce a more concise sentence.
i.e.,
Being tired from the party, I fell asleep in less than one minute --> not ok
Tired from the party, I fell asleep in less than one minute --> ok

下面是一些我遇到过的being正确的句子：

1.being作为 Olmec culture is explored by historians的现在进行时，强调正在被探索
Long overshadowed by the Maya and Aztec civilizations, the more ancient Olmec culture is now being explored by historians for its legacy to succeeding Mesoamerican societies

2.be stolen表示被动，加在介词from后面改成Ving即being
Archaeologists in Ireland believe that a recently discovered chalice, which dates from the eighth century, was probably buried to keep it from being stolen by invaders.

3.这里being xxxxx是动名词作主语
Being heavily committed to a course of action, especially one that has worked well in the past,' is likely to make an executive miss signs of incipient trouble or misinterpret them when they do appear.

所以也看出来了，being正确的时候，基本都是
1.表被动，因为句子构造被写成了being（如现在进行时/跟在介词后面）
2.作主语

哇有心了！！！谢谢！！！昨天看到曼哈顿上也是说being只能表正在进行，再除了作主语应该没有其他可以用being的情况了！~
