本人错选了A，正解是B。有看某些解释说选项A中的it指代不明，那选项B中的it指代的什么呢？这句话句意到底是什么意思啊？求解答

楼上说的挺对的，it的指代，只需要排除绝对错误，指代歧义这样的相对错误用来排除选项的优先级较低，因为没有明确标准，也很难应用。

B中it指代 American flag，句意是科学家和历史学家希望借助这种方法，清洁和保存从1814年就开始飘扬的国旗，寄希望于它再飘扬另一个200年。
通过某项工作->希望结果。
