如果答案是Ｄ的话，该句就缺少了谓语，involved 是谓语动词．

无论什么句子，首先要从意思出发，然后再考知识点．

同意第九楼。而且D的平行结构也有问题。

句中的大平行是the large-scale introduction和the substitution 的平行；

小平行是of enclosed fields 和 of new (farming techniques and crops)的平行；farming techniques and crops是小小平行。

D的结构错把the substitution 放在了小平行里面。要注意有the限定的名词跟没有the的名词一般不能对等。

不可尽信白勇的，逗号这种小不点永远不是gmat考点。根本不用考虑。

B项的第2个逗号（corps, and）可以省略吗？

个人觉得没必要出现这个逗号，不过SC的正确选项是相对的，所以与其他选项相比，是白璧微瑕喽。是这样吗？

楼上引用的白勇老师的话是对的“主谓之间如果没有插入语的话，是不能有comma的”。但是结论错了

因为这里正好就是1个插入语。我觉得排除D的关键因素就在这个插入语，主谓之间的插入语必须用逗号隔开，不然谓语会有修饰插入语之嫌。
