标题: 一道语法部分的，关于句子歧义的问题，希望大家能够帮我解答一下，感谢！

原句：The driver picked up the people who had been waiting at the airport

我的想法是谁在机场有歧义

The driver picked up （the people who had been waiting） at the airport →司机在机场接人（也就是司机在机场）

The driver picked up the people（ who had been waiting ）at the airport →机场修饰的是等待的那个人（也就是人在机场）

但是曼哈顿的书上说，是人在waiting for what 产生的歧义

求大神解答一下，到底应该怎么理解这里的歧义问题？

还有一个疑问，是不是sb has been waiting 这个句子是错的，一定后面要加上waiting for sth 才对
